The Elementary Institute of Science hosted 49 high school girls for a Rokenbok Robotics Camp this summer.  There, the STEM mentors used Rokenbok Education’s Mobile STEM Labs to implement a dynamic robotics curriculum featuring 3D printing and robotic design challenges. Take a look at the video above and see what a Rokenbok Robotics program looks like in action!

Girls went through a design and engineering process that mimics real engineering cycles. First by identifying a problem, researching and brainstorming, selecting a solution, building a prototype and then testing. After testing, each group tried to improve upon their design. At the end of the design challenge all student groups presented in front of their peers and shared what they learned.

All of Rokenbok Education's curriculum, including the robotics curriculum used in this camp, are available for free online and can be downloaded here.

The Mobile STEM Labs used during the camp were, Basic Robotics, SnapStack, and ROK Blocks.
